Do you have an early stage venture that can make a social or economic impact in Greece? RGChallenge applications are now open so make sure you submit your applications by May 23rd.
After the successful completion of the RGChallenge in September 2015, Reload Greece’s 5-day accelerator is back. The team has recruited a great line up of startup experts, experienced professionals, and investors, all keen to provide their insights to the 6 participating teams in order to create investment ready ventures that can have an immediate impact in Greece.
Organised by Reload Greece and in partnership with Watershed Entrepreneurs, RGChallenge2016 will be held from Monday the 20h to Friday the 24th of June. Throughout the 5 days programme, the aspiring entrepreneurs will be working on their Business Model Canvas and will be continuously pitching their refined proposal, using the input and guidance of mentors with a diverse set of backgrounds, industries and skill sets. More specifically, mentors will be joining RGChallenge 2016 from leading UK Universities such as Warwick University and London Business School, established multinationals like PWC, UBS and Citi Bank, innovative companies like PayPal, startups on the rise such as Deliveroo, as well as startup consultancies.
Commenting on the RGChallenge return, Mike Sotirakos, CEO of Watershed Entrepreneurs who will be leading the programme said, "I am proud to be working with the Reload team once again. The success of last year’s cohort proves that the RGChallenge truly provides a platform and the tools for the new generation of business leaders to create a better future for themselves, their companies and ultimately Greece”.
Last year’s participants commented that the RGChallenge "helped them focus on how to improve their business model, introduced them to people they would have never met and contributed the most in boosting their confidence in order to successfully approach investors”. In fact Maria Evripidis, founder of BookYourWeddingDay.com recently managed to secure a first round investment of £100,000 while George Ecnonomides, founder of Mastiha Word was recently in the US pitching his business at SxSW.
If you have a team of 3-5 people and you are looking to fuel your start-up in order to receive investment, this is for you. Make sure you visit the RGChallenge2016 website for more information and apply by May 23rd 2016.
