The Greek Energy Forum is excited to announce its upcoming 2021 elections for the years 2022-25. The election will be held virtually as part of the General Assembly on Saturday, the 23rd of October (12:00 GR, 10:00 UK).

The topics of the General Assembly will cover:

• Summary of activities for the period 2019-21;
• Financial standing for the year 2019;
• Financial standing for the year 2020;
• Election of the Master of Ceremony;
• Election of the new Management Committee.

All GEF members with active membership have the right to participate in the process, but only professional members have the right to vote and to be elected as members of the new Management Committee. This is a very exciting opportunity for anyone interested in playing a leading role in an internationally recognised institution with significant impact and contributions in the Greek and international energy sector. 

The Management Committee consists of 4 elected members; a president, a vice president, a secretary and a treasurer, plus 2 substitutes members. All the positions have a 4-year tenure and details as to their responsibilities can be found in the constitution of the organisation. GEF follows a plurality voting system, as such the candidates with the most votes will form the new Management Committee.We welcome all expressions of interest from all of our members regardless of geographic location or involvement in the organisation to date.

Please also reach out to us if you would like to volunteer for the role of the Master of Ceremony of the Elections. Volunteers for this role also have to be active GEF members, and should not be candidates for the new Management Committee.

All active members of GEF, as reflected in our members log on the 17th of October 2021 (13:00 GR time), will receive subsequent communication including the link and password to a zoom meeting for the General Assembly. The meeting will be recorded, and a link to the recording will be provided to all professional members along with a unique link to the voting portal which will open for 24 hours post the General Assembly to enable our members from different time zones to view the recording and cast their votes. The results will be announced the following day.
